On 7 August 2025, Puttru had the honor of receiving delegates from the National Association of Northern Nigerian Students (NANNS) at its offices. The purpose of the visit was to confer the award of “Icon of Societal Development” on Puttru’s leadership, Monica Maduekwe, in recognition of her contributions to national development.
During the engagement, discussions focused on pressing societal issues such as promoting girl-child education, advancing youth development, and combating drug abuse among young people. These challenges, central to Nigeria’s future, remain at the heart of NANNS’ advocacy work.
In her response, Maduekwe expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed her commitment to supporting solutions to these issues. She emphasised that Puttru’s platform exists to be a bridge for sustainable energy development across the continent, and through it, the company will continue to contribute to broader societal progress.
